How it works
- Send an enquiry or walk in Tell us the delivery address and whether you want a 14.2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg composite cylinder.
- KYC and verification We verify your identity and address documents and complete the online KYC.
- Pay the security deposit Deposits for the cylinder and regulator are fixed by HPCL. You get a printed receipt.
- Installation and demo Our mechanic connects the regulator, checks for leaks and demonstrates safe usage at your home.
- You are live Your consumer number is active and you can book refills the same day.
10 kg fibre composite cylinder
The composite cylinder is a three layer cylinder — a blow moulded inner liner, a fibreglass composite wrap and a tough outer jacket. No steel, so no rust and far less weight.
- Light. Around half the tare weight of a steel cylinder
- See through. The translucent body shows the gas level, so no more surprise empties
- Rust free. No corrosion marks on the kitchen floor or platform
- Safer in a fire. Designed not to shatter into metal fragments
- Neat. Modern look that suits a modular kitchen
Who it suits best
- Apartment residents who carry cylinders up stairs or into lifts
- Small and nuclear families whose 14.2 kg cylinder lasts too long
- Senior citizens and anyone who finds a steel cylinder too heavy
- Students, bachelors and tenants in shared accommodation
- Small tea shops and home kitchens needing a spare
Switching from 14.2 kg
Existing customers can usually switch by paying the difference in security deposit and returning the steel cylinder. Deposit amounts and availability are decided by HPCL and revised from time to time.
